Chanioti, also Chaniotis, Hanioti and Haniotis ( ΧανιÏˇτη Greek), is a touristic town located in the east of the peninsula of Cassandreia and Chalkidiki (also a prefecture) in Greece. The population in 2001 was 968, the elevation is 10 m. The population during the summer increases many times. Chanioti is located around 100 km SE of Thessaloniki.
Also nearest places are Polichrono and Pefkochori . Chanioti is situated by the Aegean Sea and the Sithonic Gulf, farmlands are within the coastline as well as residential areas, tourist attractions and others, the mountains covers the rest of the area and has pine forests to the mountains and farmlands in the valleys.
The most famous that is not just its natural beauty is that tourism dominates the industry and has a beach, hotels, spas, restaurants, taverns, etc. Hotels include Hanioti Village and many others.
Chanioti was linked with pavement in the mid-20th century and generated a growth on tourism, hydro and phone lines soon followed as well as more paved roads in the 1980s.
The populationhas dramatically boomed since the late-1970s and the arrival of tourism.
